Questions

Where is my plan ID?

Look at the front of your plan's member card. Medicare Advantage plan IDs start with a letter and four numbers, then three more numbers, like H5959-019. If you can't find it, search by the plan's name instead.

What's the difference between an allowance and a copay?

With an allowance, the plan pays up to a set dollar amount and you pay the rest. With a copay, you pay a set price for each hearing aid and the plan pays the rest. Some plans use both.

What is a "hearing program"?

Many plans send you to a partner company, such as TruHearing, UnitedHealthcare Hearing, NationsHearing, or Amplifon, to get your hearing aids. You usually have to call that company or use one of their clinics to get the plan's price.

I have Original Medicare. Is that covered?

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) doesn't pay for hearing aids. Most Medicare Advantage plans include some hearing aid benefit. You can compare plans during open enrollment, October 15 to December 7.

My plan isn't in the list, or it says it ends in 2026

Some plans end or get a new plan ID each year. Search your 2026 plan ID or name. We'll show whether it continues under a new ID or ends. If it ends, pick a new plan during open enrollment, which runs until December 7.

Why might my cost be different?

This tool shows what the plan offers. Your own cost can change if you already used your benefit this year, pick a different model, or go to a clinic outside the plan's network. Confirm with your plan before you buy.
